Salt Spring Island Wedding at Bullock Lake Farm -Melissa & Rob

A Bullock Lake Farm wedding on Salt Spring Island, grounded in landscape and designed for gathering;

Melissa and Rob gathered their friends and family on Salt Spring Island for a Bullock Lake Farm wedding that felt both intimate and deeply connected to place. As a Salt Spring Island wedding venue, Bullock Lake Farm offers a setting that feels both expansive and intimate—open meadows, working orchards, and a secluded lakeside ceremony site that draws guests into the landscape.

The experience of a Bullock Lake Farm wedding is unlike anywhere else - the softness of the evening light, the scent of ripe plums in late summer, swallows moving through the open meadow. Guests were invited to explore the farm on their way to the lakeside ceremony, turning the setting into something fully immersive.

An all-white, natural palette shaped the floral design, created on site by Lost Field Studio - organic, textural, and in keeping with the softness of the surrounding landscape.

inner was prepared on site by Woodshed Provisions and served beneath a tent as the sun began to set. Guests gathered for a long, relaxed meal, the light shifting softly across the fields as evening settled in. As night fell, everyone moved into the barn for an energetic live band and a packed dance floor—an effortless transition from quiet, open-air dining to something more celebratory and alive.

Melissa and Rob’s Bullock Lake Farm wedding on Salt Spring Island was a reflection of place, season, and intention—where the setting itself becomes part of how people gather, connect, and experience the day.

As a Bullock Lake Farm wedding photographer, it’s a setting that offers something rare - an environment where light, landscape, and atmosphere come together effortlessly, shaping not just how a wedding looks, but how it’s experienced.
