I always tell my clients that if they trust me completely, we’ll create something truly beautiful together. With Emily and Mark, that trust came naturally. Our connection was effortless, and it allowed us to approach their wedding day in a way that let them simply be themselves.

The weekend was spent on Galiano Island, hosting their closest friends and family at the special and stunning Bodega Ridge. The setting was perfect - calm, intimate and full of beautiful light - which set the tone for a weekend that unfolded with so much warmth.

Sam & Phil chose to forgo a traditional reception and instead celebrated their wedding in a modern, intimate way at the Ace Hotel Toronto. From our very first conversation, I knew we were a perfect match, and I was thrilled when they told me they wanted their entire day captured on film. Shooting film indoors with flash isn’t something I get to do often, so I was not only excited to spend the day with them but also creatively energized by the opportunity.

I was so happy to join Metro & Amaan at one of my favorite places to photograph — Bodega Ridge, Galiano Island.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the couple, their families, and their friends. The day had such an easy, joyful energy — with great light, good food, music, and meaningful moments throughout. It was a real privilege to be there and document it all.
